Overview

The Executive Coaching Program is an exclusive opportunity for a small cohort ED/CEO’s to break through their current growth ceiling with expert guidance and peer support.

Through monthly sessions focused on leadership adaptability, team effectiveness, and stakeholder management, participants will identify their unique growth barriers and develop practical solutions using evidence-based frameworks. In addition to core sessions, optional "office hours" will provide personalized coaching and implementation support, ensuring concepts translate into meaningful organizational change.

This carefully designed cohort experience will create lasting peer support mechanisms while delivering immediately applicable tools tailored specifically to the challenges faced when transitioning from startup to sustainable impact.

Pete Wheelan and Justin Self will be leading the workshop series. Pete Wheelan has a wealth of experience in leadership roles and leading boards. He now coaches CEOs and leadership professionals. He specialized in coaching ed-tech leaders but now provides coaching services to all of our alumni. The two of them led a highly regarded leadership coaching session at the alumni retreat in 2025 and we are excited to have them return to lead this workshop.

You will leave the program with new skills, resources, and strategies to better improve your management and leadership qualities. Additionally you will have access to dedicated office hours to deep dive into issues your organization is facing. Finally, you will be a part of a cohort of CEOs who will meet monthly and share learnings and community.

Engagement Timeline

• The program will run from mid-July through the end of the calendar year. There will be a break in December to allow for end of year travel and wrap-up with a final closing call in January.

• An introductory kickoff session (1 hour) - July 17th
• 6 monthly core content sessions (2 hours each), each including ~60 minutes of interactive content delivery, followed by ~60 minutes of discussion and participant “situation-sharing”.
  • In order to ensure the sessions are interactive and to maximize overall value from the program, each participant will be expected to do a small amount (~20-25 minutes) of pre-reading and/or preparatory work prior to each session.
• Six 75-minute optional office hours sessions, purposely designed to be “unstructured” and guided by expressed desires of the attending participants.
  • The office hour sessions will be optional but are strongly encouraged to provide personalized coaching and implementation support, ensuring concepts translate into meaningful organizational change.

Applicant Criteria

The application is open to all founders and executive directors but below are some suggested baselines for founders to consider:

• Buy-in. Your commitment to personal and professional growth is essential. The self-awareness ******of the leader is important and we want to make sure leaders are committed to learning and reflecting and engaging manner.
• Org changes. Your team is scaling quickly and you are now becoming more of the manager than the executer. Your core role is shifting from being a founder to more of a CEO. Changes mean new challenges that you are new to.
