Overview

For Impact is an organization that offers fundraising consultations and trainings to nonprofits and social entrepreneurs. Fast Forward now partners with For Impact in two capacities: 1:1 consultations and a 2-Day fundraising training.

For Impact provides world-class fundraising support. Many alumni who have worked with For Impact rave about what they have learned and see results quickly.

Typical Engagements

1:1 Consultations

We partner with For Impact to offer 1:1 fundraising support for alumni. This program is valued at $15-20k; Fast Forward will subsidize ~90% of the cost. Your organization will spend 2-3 hours/week over the course of ~3-6 months with a dedicated For Impact consultant. This program is designed to help you kickstart your approach to fundraising. The program will be tailored slightly to the needs of each participating organization but will generally include:

• Helping to refine a clear, compelling, and scalable fundraising ask, as well as supporting communications tools.
• Developing and incorporating a framework to identify and prioritize prospects and prospect opportunities.
• Helping 1-2 individuals from your organization develop a tailored approach to fundraising. This approach will vary for each organization depending on the message, sector, and type of prospect.
• Development and implementation of specific prospect strategies, including:
  • Goal setting for each prospect.
  • Making the approach/outreach (getting in the door).
  • Building the relationship and getting a roadmap to funding or a funding commitment.
  • Follow-up.
  • (These will be constructed so that they can be reusable archetypes.)

Again, you will be paired with a For Impact coach who will guide you through a process to complete the above. The program and coaching follow a 3-6 month timeline, and participants usually spend 2-3 hours per week working with a For Impact coach to complete activities within a fundraising plan.

2-Day Fundraising Training

In addition, Fast Forward partners with For Impact to offer a 2-day training twice a year (virtually during the Startup Accelerator and IRL during the Alumni Retreat). Fast Forward subsidizes the cost so that this training is free for all alumni.

Cost to Participate

1:1 Consultations: This is valued at $15-20k depending on the organization. Fast Forward will cover 90% of the cost of this engagement. You can expect to pay between $1500-$2000.

2-Day Fundraising Training: Fast Forward subsidizes the cost so that this training is free for all alumni.
